
Bergson Nestor and Alejandro Arreaga are recipients of the 2025 Rodenkirchen Winged Foot Award. This honor was made possible through the generous support of the NYAC Athlete’s Fund.
Bergson set a school record of 14.65 in 110m hurdles, while Alejandro set personal records in the 800m (2:14) and 4:47 in the 1600m.

Congratulations to Larry Herrera (800m,1600m, 3200m) and Dennis Martinez (800m,1000m, 1600m), Dickinson High School recipients of the 2024 Rodenkirchen Winged Foot Award. Larry set personal records this track and field season being part of the Dickinson High School record setting 4×1600 Relay team (20:12) with season best times of 2:28 800 m and 5:19 in the 1600 m. While Dennis set personal records in the 800m (2:08) and 4:50 in the 1600m.

Congrats to Malik Bails (Shotput and Discus) and Jose Espinal (800m,1600m, 3200m), Dickinson High School recipients of the 2023 Rodenkirchen Winged Foot Award. Jose set personal records this track and field season with times of 4:42.95 in the 1600 m and 10:20.78 in the 3200 m. While Mailk set new Dickinson High School records of 140-3 in the discus and 50′ 7.5″ in the shotput. Both will be attending college in the Fall.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Robert Rodenkirchen Foundation, we announce the 2022 recipients of the Rodenkirchen Winged Foot award are Arwa Mahmoud and Michelle Itoua. Both girls are graduating seniors and plan to attend Montclair State University in the fall.
This marks the 30th year that we have provided the award. The award is presented annually to recognize the top William L. Dickinson High School track and field athletes. This memorial award has been presented to more than 60 Dickinson High School track and field athletes.
